For my base Boxster with 18" wheels, and asymmetrical tire size front/rear, the door placard specifies 29 psig all around. I do not drive competitively and all driving is limited public streets roads. I have noticed, especially in south Florida, temperatures seem to stabilize about 3 psig or slightly more above the cold pressure with the rears a degree or two higher than the front. My goal is not at all what pressure provides the best competitive performance, but to optimize wear and a stable feel of the car. That being said, I suspect the nature of my Boxster is such, tire pressure (within reason) would never very adversely affect the feel of the car.
So, with respect to stability and wear, what are some thoughts about cold tire pressure, even asymmetrically between front and rear.
