Last wednesday had a track day at circuit Zolder. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the stock brake pads, two hours of non stop driving without any fading, don't feel the need to upgrade the brake pads soon. Zolder is a short technical track and especially heavy on the brakes.

Very cool!

The stock brakes are amazing. I've never felt like I needed more brakes on my 718CS (even at a track like Watkins Glen which has multiple stops per laps from over 100 mph.) I am not using slick tires - just standard street tires.

Thx Russell. About the tires, I read in your post you are using Michelin PS4S, how do they compare with the Pirelli's P7's ? (if they came standard on your car) I found the Pirelli's not as sticky (on turn in) as my Michelin Cup2 tires on my other car.

My car came with Yokohama Advans. The Michelins blow them away. The Yokohamas have terrible tire wear , and aren't any stickier than the Michelins.

I haven't driven the Pirellis so can't compare to them.

Yes, great photo!

What size Cup 2s did you put on? Standard rims?

I have some new wheels coming and are looking at Cup 2s.

I understand you just need to be careful with them in the wet although I've read the new N1s are an improvement in the wet.
The Cup2’s are on my Cupra, 235/35 19inch. They perform ok in the wet. Have no experience with the N1’s they are hard to find over here.
