I would like to ban moose in Sweden!


We where on our way to pick up pizza driving on a 70 kmh road when a moose jumped out of the woods.
There where traffic on the road so i had to plant the car in the forrest.
I managed to squeeze the car between two trees, that had ½ met less space then the car are wide.
Airbags in the door went of and the car is totaled.


But we are alive with some bruses and minor things.


Since my car was an import from Finlad I don't get a brand new but the deal i got from insurance are Ok.
Now i have to decide to buy something used or order a new one that's gonna be delivered in June.

Well, an S with PDK, SC, Pasm, Leather enterior, cruise control, PCM, Connect Plus, sport seat Plus, PDLS, Heated GT steering wheel, Bose
Something like that.

Very sorry to hear this but I'm glad to hear you are OK. That's the most important thing!


Here in the eastern USA, we have many, many white-tail deer. They are much smaller than a moose but can still total a car. We especially see them dead on the side of the road, hit by cars, during the Fall season. It's a real problem but there is no real solution.

Hitting the moose would have been worse! Glad to hear you're OK, cars are replaceable, especially new ones like the 718, people are not.

Personally I'd be looking to take up moose hunting as a hobby.

I'm glad you are all OK. Good luck with getting a replacement.

Here in Australia we don't have deer or moose--but hit a kangaroo and they'll make a mess of the car and possibly you. They can also be hard to avoid as they hop out in front of cars--especially at dusk and dawn when visibility is poor.

When i bought the first Boxster friends where joking that mooses would not be a problem cause i would drive underneath them.
All i saw was a wall of fur.
