Yup. Have used one of these in my cupholder challenged Porsches for the past 10 years. Easy to install. Cup is out of the way. Fits most larger cups and is bendable to fit different shapes. Never had a spill. Highly recommended.

718 is not listed as an option, when ordering.
You might want to ask them what fits. The holder can be adapted to fit many cars by bending the tongue a bit. Only problem would be if the holder was too tall to fit in the space between the center console and floor. Pretty sure the one I'm using in my 718 was purchased for a 2002 BMW. I also used it in a 2007 Cayman and a 2014 Boxster. So I've had it for 15 years, not 10 like I thought. Geez.

Response from the guy who makes them as to whether the cup holder fits the 718.

“I can't say absolutely positively for sure in all cases since I've not had
very many actually try it yet and I'm relying on limited information at this
point. But I have put one into one 718/982 myself and I've had quite a few others use the same version for the 911/996/997 in the 718/982 and they seem to be fine. I try to be relatively conservative as far as listing new models until I have a good base of information so I haven't yet. I'm reasonably confident that it will given everything that I've seen to date but don't know that I've necessarily run across all variations/differences that sometimes come up.”

Hello All...just checking if anyone has confirmed which model Ultimate Cup Holder might fit the 718. I rec’d the same message from the owner as is quoted above...and wanted to be sure to order the correct one (982 or 911) for the 718. Thanks for all of your contributions.

Hi,

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing two of these from Mike at ultimatecupholder.com, I must complement him on the great quality of the cup holders and amazing customer service.

I purchased the Boxster version for the 718, now I still don't have the car but I believe the Boxster 986/987/981 will fit from seeing other posts and Mikes comments.

I got in touch as I live in the UK, he was fine for me to order which i did. The paypal order takes car of postage and I had to pay a customs charge of about £12 when they got to the uk. All in all everything took about 2 - 3 weeks.

Very impressed with the overall exerience (I don't know Mike apart from buying these by the way so this is a genuine positive post) and can say it was one of the best purchases I have ever made, mainly just because he was so helpful, polite and great to buy from.

Looking forward to trying them in the car sometime in December :)

Cheers

Looking at my 718 CGTS with Manual seats I don't think they are a viable option. The fore/aft seat adjuster will hit them!!!

Peter
My BS has manual sport plus seats. They work great. If I ever had to slide my seat forward, I’d just move the holder forward. Doesn’t come up all that often. Would pose an issue if it did.

Stubby, i.e. vertically challenged, legs and when on track I tend to sit even closer. Not a big deal as I only use it for coffee in a sealed mug which works OK either between my legs or the OEM holders.

I may never have found out about these cupholders if it were not for this excellent forum.

Got me one in a few days ago and love it! Thought it might be a bit in the way, but not at all in my '18 C base with 14 way seats.

The cupholder is not noticeable or blatant; much much better than the passenger dash holders.

Big thumbs up for letting me in on this!

Has anyone installed on the passenger side? Thought might work well without getting the way of driving.

I don't have my 2019 Base Cayman with manual 2 way seats yet, but might get a holder now while I wait for the car to arrive in February if fits well.

I had meant to say if I needed to move (or remove for that matter) the cupholders to adjust the seat, it *wouldn't* be a big deal. They're not bolted in place or anything. Actually they were a very elegant solution. I put one on each side. BTW, love the image of you tearing around a track while sipping your morning joe.
