Here is a daytime picture of two ultimate cupholders installed on passenger side in a 2019 718 Cayman. The passenger seat is situated two notches from furthest back it can possibly go in this picture.

 

All those cupholder pics are fine but I'm still captivated by TEST DRyVer's description.


I told my sweetie about that one then asked if she could hold a water bottle for me. She said yes as long as she could keep her pants on. Life is still good.

 

TEST DRyVr did say half-nude, he didn't say what half. So, you have that going for you!

 

Thanks all. I was definitely overthinking it. I hadn't moved the driver's seat back far enough to find the easy way to go at it. I was trying to go at it from too far forward. Doh! Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

 

Ordered one of these this morning. I haven't even signed the papers on "my" 718 Cayman yet but as I stop every morning on the way to work at my favorite local coffee shop and then drive the couple of remaining blocks to work with a Yeti full of hot coffee I am going to definitely need one. Great find!

Did you actually READ the web page? Like at the top of the home page where he says he had to suspend the manufacture of these? Or where it says you can email him to get notice when things are on track again?

 

That declaration on his site has been there for quite some time. I was able to order a year ago and find it to be absolutely great. Can put my 30oz Yeti in it and drive any roads w/o worrying about it tipping or spilling. Worth a chance to email Mike and although may take longer than you may want to wait if he is making them, absolutely worth it. Takes about 5 seconds to put it in place.

Mine is on the passenger side but have no issue grabbing it while driving if needed.

 

Yeah, somebody email the guy, and see if he's still making them. I always carry a water bottle (a large 30-oz Stanley) that no way in **** it'd be held by the puny stock cup holders. In fact, I'm almost sure the weight would break it instantly. Those just seem to slide under the trim, right? Looks like a great idea if they stay put, like it seems to be the case. Thanks for the update. I get the car until Oct, so still have time to get crap. Ha ha.

Have driven my cars hard and never worried about my cup tumbling out. And yes, it’s as simple as sliding them under the center console on either side

 

I got my pair about 2 years ago. They are great.

 

I emailed the guy. No response so far.
