I was a little bit annoyed that I had to have my phone plugged in to get my CarPlay to work in my car. I got a refer from my friend with a smart dongle. I purchased carlinkit 4.0 that converts the CarPlay connection into wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
Ever since getting this I’ve had absolutely few problems, sound quality is good and haven't seen any audio/video lag. It has truly improved my entire car audio experience. Works great, and is a decent price for what it brings, less than $85.
Once you set up the dongle, get into your car and turn on the car, and without connecting your phone to the car by cable, you’ll have CarPlay pop up. Plug and play, takes about 30 seconds to boot up and is actually pretty quick. Exactly like wired carplay! I can't believe how easy it was to set up!
I am so excited and would like to sharing this. I LOVE HAVING WIRELESS CARPLAY! I will keep updating here!

I used both Apple Maps and Google Maps and both responded as we expected. There was no lag in getting directions and the touchscreen was as responsive as with a wired connection.
Even using Siri was effortless. I was able to ask Siri for directions while driving and they popped up on the screen in a few seconds. lol.

Do you notice any sound quality difference playing music / podcasts through this wireless CarPlay setup vs. being plugged directly via USB?
Playing music/podcasts through this wireless CarPlay setup vs. being plugged directly via USB is no sound quality difference, and much better than playing music via phone's bluetooth.

How's your's working now? Thinking of ordering for my 2022 GTS. The website only lists Porsche 718 MY 2017-2021 as compatible, but I don't think there is any difference between 2021 and 2022?

Also, even my wired CarPlay seems to have hiccups at times. Drove yesterday and it started up fine, but after I disconnected the phone to activate GasBuddy and plugged back in, I couldn't get CarPlay to reconnect.
I saw someone replying below that the compatible list of the website has been updated, support Porsche 718 2017-2022. The 4.0 version is good for 2022 model year.

Thanks, I took delivery of the Carlinkit 4 earlier this week. Had a few strange hiccups going through the initial connection procedure (note screenshot that still shows "not connected" to the device (Porsche - A569)). But it appears to be working for the 2-3 times I've driven since.

I've also been impressed with the customer service. The product is coming out of China and I was a bit skeptical relative to after sale service, but they responded quickly to my questions with an e-mail and follow up.

Indeed the carlinkitlife website's after-service is very good. If we encounter problems in use, they will give corresponding solutions and reply very quickly (of course, the premise is that you are their customers). Overall, this adapter is worthy and the performance is still OK. It works well with my car, no issues so far.

Why would you ask Amazon for help & not teh manufacturer?
Carlinkit only provides technical service support for customers who purchase products directly on their website. If you place an order on Amazon, you can only ask Amazon for help. So that's why I finally decided to purchase on the website to get guaranteed service.
