So I’m an old guy and with age we are supposed to be more patient. Problem is this little beauty is sitting in the showroom and I am on vacation and can’t pick it up until late next week. It’s killing me.

Yes. It is an untitled 2018 GTS. Standard transmission. Being an old 60s car guy I could bring myself to go with any type of automatic.

I had my heart set on white with black wheels until I saw this one. One I saw it I was hooked.

I have been planning the break in period since I bought the car. My summer home in NC is 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway so I plan to see much of the parkway from the seat of the GTS just as I did from my motorcycle in the past. My motto on the motorcycle was “the shortest distance between two points is boring” and it looks like I have good reason to continue with that approach.

I've done the Blue Ridge Parkway (and the Smoky Mountains and the Skyline Drive) in its (their) entirety this summer. An unforgettable trip in my 718 CS. I only missed the Tail of the Dragon...

The GTS is the way to do it (actually I met someone doing the GSM in his GT4, we drove together for a while... fun!).

I feel your pain, OP. My 718 came in 3 weeks early, and I couldn't get to the dealer for a whole week because of work obligations (dealer is a 6 hour round trip). It was worth the wait, though.
