Can’t understand why you’re impatient lol. However your vacation should be that more enjoyable knowing what’s waiting for you when you return home. Love agate grey by the way.

Beautiful car bmwrider1946 - Congrats.

I recently got a new CGTS as well - really fun car.

Since you are on vacation, I would be happy to assist you by picking it up on your behalf and beginning the break in process for you (put 2,000 miles on my new CGTS in just over 2 weeks) - always willing to help a brother out :)

I have been planning the break in period since I bought the car. My summer home in NC is 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway so I plan to see much of the parkway from the seat of the GTS just as I did from my motorcycle in the past. My motto on the motorcycle was “the shortest distance between two points is boring” and it looks like I have good reason to continue with that approach.

I've done the Blue Ridge Parkway (and the Smoky Mountains and the Skyline Drive) in its (their) entirety this summer. An unforgettable trip in my 718 CS. I only missed the Tail of the Dragon... :(

The GTS is the way to do it (actually I met someone doing the GSM in his GT4, we drove together for a while... fun!).

Have fun!

Ironically enough, I also have a BMW motorcycle. However, I am on the opposite side of the country - but only a couple miles of canyons roads from "the snake"

I feel your pain, OP. My 718 came in 3 weeks early, and I couldn't get to the dealer for a whole week because of work obligations (dealer is a 6 hour round trip). It was worth the wait, though.
