Every dealership is different. We have dealers that will sell and install our parts - some won't. We recommend you discuss this with your dealership so that in the end you won't be surprised. Your dealers opinion matters more than what anyone here could tell you as they have the final say.

Not sure where you're located but Porsche saw fit to disclose its PCNA warranty obligations and exclusions in writing for owners' convenience.
Should the fit hit the shan it's likely PCNA knows its legal processes and procedures.
..You should also be aware that PCNA may deny you warranty coverage if your vehicle or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance or unapproved modifications.

Of course mine has been modified. If and when it comes unglued I'll pick up the tab for its repairs.

i have a good friend who is associated with the local dealership and i will leave the description at that. this past weekend we were at a de event and we talked about exhausts as i had just changed part of mine. in a nutshell he said if you did a cat-back setup with a major manufacturer you may get some push back (or you may not) but it would be easy to have it covered under warranty. if you changed the downpipe and cat you can kiss the warranty goodbye.

as mike pointed out each dealership can be different, so always check with them first.

So I suppose I could also put the stock exhaust back on if anything came up before going to the dealership

you could, but the computers in these cars tell the dealership everything, right down to the color of socks you are wearing.

-edit-

one last item. if you plan to do any track events or autocross with your car do not buy their cat. that instantly voids the warranty on your equipment. you need to click a few feet deep into their site to find it, but it's there.

Buy ours instead, we back our HJS HD 200 cell cats for 3 years AND for track use. :)

If warranty is not your concern then go for it but let me relate my attempt to tune my 2RS and to get an additional 100hp in the process. The SA recommended the tune by GIAC and said if I drop the car off with them then he could have the car back to me within 3 or 4 days. I then asked could this potentially impact my warranty and he stated yes it could if Porsche became aware of it. So the SA/dealership recommended the GIAC tune even though he (they) knew there were potential warranty concerns. Bottom line I will leave things as they are and accept the stock horsepower/torque.

Any body with the fabspeed supercup turbo back exhaust with high flow cat experience issues with warranty work? Or do you think that would cause an issue with factory warranty?
It's really, really simple.

A 'factory warranty' applies to Porsche-manufactured or -approved parts put on the car at the Porsche factory.
A Fabspeed supercup TB exhaust is not put on the car at the Porsche factory.

Why anyone would think that there wouldn't be potential warranty issues with that scenario is way, way beyond me.

If you modify your car with non-Porsche parts, the warranty surrounding said parts is null, void, and done.

Bingo!
These questions come up on all forums and it is that simple. The manufacturer of any product warrants their product but as soon as a third party modifies it it is unreasonable to think that the original manufacturer should still cover something they did not produce.
Of course you can’t void an engine claim on say a non genuine headlight upgrade but using non genuine modifications opens you up to a lot of gray areas to allow a warranty claim dispute.

If you do mods you need to be prepared to accept the responsibility that comes with it.

I totally understand the modified parts, exhaust system would not be covered. I was more wondering about engine issues they may try to tie to the exhaust work and deny a claim on
Look: I don't want to be condescending, but at this point I feel the need to be:

This has been discussed elsewhere on this forum. Please search 'Magnuson-Moss'. Read, and learn.

Then, search 'Magnuson-Moss' on a search engine. Read about the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. Read, and learn.

By then, you should have an idea, so you won't have to ask such a banal question again.

Thank you.

Specifically regarding the Fabspeed Supercup Turboback exhaust, I installed one on my 718 Cayman in Feb of 2018. FabSpeed recommended I check with my dealer before installing if I were worried about warranty. My dealer assured me that the only thing I would lose is the warranty on the cat/exhaust itself and that this installation would not affect the engine/power train warranty on the car. The dealer service manager also told me that installing an aftermarket cat, downpipe snd or exhaust will not adversely affect these cars, and the ECU is quite capable of automatically adjusting for the change. After FabSpeed installed the exhaust at their shop in PA, I took my car to the dealer for service. My dealer loves the exhaust and sound and I’ve had no issues with them over It whatsoever. I love it as well. Amazing upgrade accompanied with a BMC F1 air filter. Sounds great, and the car drives exceptionally.
