Was a great event in Southlake, in south Dallas. Hundreds of Porsche’s on display, just an amazing scene. And for the most part, very friendly owner group. Was pleasantly surprised at the enthusiasm the Cayman/Boxster platform got. Met up with a gentleman who has been to dozens of these events, and has owned over 30 Porsche cars! Do you guys/girls go to these kinds of events?

There are some great meet ups here in Southern California. I've gotten nothing but positive feedback about my Cayman. And I've found the Porsche community to be the most welcoming of any automotive group I've been around.

Not yet.

Planned to attend my first C&C on 1/11/2020 in San Antonio.

Dilemma...just learned the Longhorn PCA is conducting a tech session at Porsche San Antonio at the same time.

Which event should I attend (I’ve never been to either one)?

I have not seen a cars/coffee posted in the Phoenix area but I would go....I do love coffee and chatting with other owners is fun. There are numerous car events but I have not seen a Porsche specific one unless simply a PCA event...I don't think that is the same animal.

How do you find out about these things? I wouldn't mind going to one, especially in the Hill Country, Austin, even Houston!...

@DriveInHouston In my experience, events such as these are often posted on social media. I searched on facebook and came up with this site for Austin: Cars and Coffee Austin "
Kickstart 2020 off right when Cars and Coffee Austin returns to COTA on Sunday, January 19th!"

Found the following doing an online search:
Stumbled upon my first C&C when exiting COTA for lunch during WRC race weekend. It appeared as if the car gods had dumped all the cars from a Hemmings Motor News onto the parking lot...pretty much anything and everything. An enormous turnout (cars & viewers), but I don't know if this is the norm, since it was a race weekend.

I doubt the C&C in San Antonio is anywhere near as large. Regardless, I will report my findings after dropping by on the way to the Longhorn PCA Tech Session held at Porsche of San Antonio this Saturday between 9-11.

The next COTA C&C is Jan 19, 2020. Weather permitting, I may attend.

Maybe we can meet there. Let's wait until we can get a long term forecast.

In the meantime, can you provide some details as to when and where exactly? We can start a thread to see if any other fellow Texans are interested.

The next COTA C&C is Sunday, Jan 19, 2020. Gates open @ 7:30 AM and the event begins @ 8:00 AM and runs until around Noon.

The following link will take you to the event details and amenities: Cars and Coffee | Circuit of The Americas

Free admission and parking if you DON'T place your vehicle in the Show Car lot. The non-show car parking lot is literally adjacent to the show car lot...so no excess walking involved.

There is a $5 fee if you plan to park your vehicle in the Show Car lot. You may prepay the $5 fee, if desired (My Circuit of The Americas Account Manager).

The following link will take you to the map depicting COTA and the C&C Show Car and non-show car parking locations: http://ea80e97cace747c2c244-5483548....r64.cf1.rackcdn.com/Cars-Coffee-Map-2019.jpg

This may be too soon and the weather too variable to formally plan a 718 Forum meet & greet. Regardless, I plan on attending, provided the weather cooperates, and it would be great to meet attending forum members.

I agree, let's wait and see...
First off: @Steve48, as a 28-year North Texan and current Dallas downtownian, I can state with 100-percent certainty that Southlake ain't in sunny South Dallas. It's not even in Dallas County.
(But that's beside the point, of course ... )

Now, @Treemagnet @DriveInHouston : I'm game for the January COTA C&C if the weather cooperates! I need a weekend road trip, and I appear to be past a couple of nagging physical issues for the time being ...
