Been scouring the forums and internet but cant seem to find a definitive answer.

I know I would have to take out the irons and woods, but in addition, I would like to lay the bag across the trunk (left to right), and avoid laying it longitudinally (front and back) onto the engine bay. (want to avoid blocking rear view)

I've tried with my current golf bag, a OGIO Gotham cart bag, which does not fit in ANY position, except in the passenger seat.
And tried with a Titleiest 4UP stand bag, which I can just about fit left to right, but only on top of the engine bay, but not in the trunk space; hence still blocking rear view. :crying:

Help, anyone who had success finding one?

Your best bet would be a walking bag (without a stand)….something like a Ping Hoofer....I was going to spend some time at a local golf retailer and experiment with different bags, but due to some surgery wont be able to play till late august. I'm guessing that if you play a lot of golf, removing the clubs from the bag every time you play would get old...easiest option would be to cover the passenger seat and just lay the clubs and bag there.

I don't like the idea of taking my clubs out each time, and since there is no way to fit two people and their bags and clubs in the car, my bag rides shotgun with me.

2 sets of clubs do fit in 718B trunk

I recently took a 4 day golf trip with my wife. We fit 2 sets of clubs in the truck and all of our other stuff in the fronk. I purchased smaller golf bags called Sunday bags that fit quite nicely. I do put both drivers behind the seats. There are a number of different types of Sunday bags. Some have a spine and legs and stand up just like a normal stand bag. Others do not. We purchased the ones the stand up. My wife likes hers so much she no longer uses her normal bag.

Not sure if a Hoofer would fit L-R... and yup I understand that placing bag in passenger seat would be my absolute last resort. ?

Woo... that’s interesting. 2-person 4day golf trip... sounds like you’ve found the solution! Could you share the brand of the bag? Would be super if you could share pics of the solution.

We bought 2 different bags. One is made by Maxfli and the other says Tour X Sunday on it. I stood them up next to a standard bag and they are the same height but the diameter of each of them is about 2/3 of a normal bag. I like the Tour X better as it comes with a hood that snaps on. Does not matter too much for the car but we also used them on a airplane trip and it helps keep the clubs in the bag. As a bonus both bags fit into one golf travel bag. Remember that my car is a Boxster so this may not help for a Cayman.

Finally found a golf bag that just about fits, after many measurements and fit trials.

I really liked the Titliest Stadry 4UP which was one of the smallest “fullsize” stand bags but it was just too big. But was happy to find the Wilson Ionix SL standbag...

Another solution....a Callaway "hyper lite" stand bag is approx. 36 in long...it will fit horizontally on the engine bay, directly behind the seats and does not block your view...the irons go horizontally in the trunk and the woods either vertically on the engine bay or in the front seat.

Would you measure the max length of the Wilson bag prlease? Cheers, hoping it’s under 36 inches.

The Ogio silencer stand bag fits if you bend it slightly, didn’t buy it because it’s just not easy enough to get in without forcing it.

So far best solution for me is golf bag in a large nylon bag and on the passenger seats inc clubs!

It’s 35 inches from base to top handle. So it fits! (just)
Word of caution: when loading, i need to slide the top in first, then squeeze the base slightly to get past the boot lip.
With this, i can get another golf bag across the engine cover area and plan for a two person golf trip!! ?
