Just bought a GTS in manual, and I just cannot stop driving it. I have never owned a car where I go out just to drive it and nothing else. Just now I rode around my block going 30 mph.

I've bought and sold many many fast, fun, slow cars in the last 23 years (enough to where dmv sent me a letter stating I needed a business license) and I have never owned a car this fun. I thought my old turbo charged S2000, low 10 second RS3, or my razor sharp Evo IX were fun, but ****... What is it with these cars that makes it this addictive? It doesn't matter whether I'm driving 30 mph or xxx mph.

And all this coming from just trading in a 620hp RS3 with every suspension mod available.

I can't imagine what this car will feel like with a tune / downpipe and simple suspension mods.

What’s crazy is going and sitting in it for a few minutes before going to bed. Yup, I do

Just be careful you don't ruin what makes it special in the first place.

I know a few people who become addicted to a particular car or hi-fi component only to start trying to get more of what makes it special, then they end up ruining exactly what made it special in the first place.

Exactly the message I tried to get across when the OP first said hello. If I recall correctly he didn't even have a car yet but wanted to start doing mods. Get to know the car first, discover just how well Porsche designed it and screwed it together.

I'm reminded of a thought every time I see a car with "custom" body work: It's hard to out-do what the factory guys did in the first place. But messin' it up is easy. The same goes for mechanical stuff too when the designer is as good as Porsche.

Knowing me, I'll probably do mods anyway, especially for additional power. Will probably start off slowly with handling mods though and back off if I sense any disruptions. First mod will probably be factory stuff like a gt3 lca and a more aggressive alignment setting.

Please, purekoryo, wait a bit before you mod. Enjoy your addiction. If the feeling subsides then mod. I am trying to follow my own advice because I do want the APR tune, but am holding off for now.

YUP! I have also had a variety of sports cars and bought my 718 base after just one test drive! The driving dynamics are just so good....
ALFAGUY? We may have some things in common. Have owned 6 Alfa's and my base silver 718 is GT silver with the S wheels. Your picture looks like GT silver with the S wheels? Manual transmission?

Owned: 59 Sprint, 65 Guilia Super 4 door, 63 Guilia Sprint coupe, 67 Duetto, 75? coupe and 62 Sprint coupe. All great cars except for the 75 coupe. Best was the 63 Guilia Sprint. Would trade the 17 Boxster for another 63 Sprint coupe.
