Hi guys, I'm sure, like me, quite a few of the forum members are currently facing full lock-down, quarantine style... I live in Mallorca, Spain and since about 1 week ago we are confined to staying at home and realistically it will probably stay that way for at least another month to 6 weeks. My question is what are you going to do as soon as the restrictions are lifted?!

Having the privilege of living in the beautiful mediterranean island of Mallorca, I'm itching to get out on the same mountain roads that Henry Catchpole claimed were the finest road in the world.... And you?

Peak District is stunning... I grew up in the Manchester area so I know it well! yes, maximum drive, end to end in Mallorca is never more than about 1 hour, so you need to take a ferry to mainland Spain or south of France for a longer road trip... both interesting options though!!

If I think my dying cat can tolerate it, I'll take the Boxster or the bike and go away for two nights (of course my sitter, who is a vet tech, will come to the house twice a day to administer food and medicine). Then it's back to caring for her and keeping her alive.

Barbeque at one of the famous joints in a small Texas town. There are many to choose from.
I cranked up our grill the other day to do Filet Mignon. There’s was no other meat at the grocery store . More barbecue to come as we found some pork roasts since then.

We're retired and watch our four grandkids three days a week. I will really look forward to seeing those little rascals again when this is over. Right now we're doing daily Facetime, etc. with them. But it will be great to have them around again.

For what it's worth, I don't think that normalcy will return to our world all on one day.
It won't be like a race track with a person waving a green flag and saying: "Have at it!"

My guess is that we will ease back gradually into more and more activities based on advise from health officials.

We always reserve hotel rooms well ahead of time near all the race tracks where I run vintage races. We've already cancelled all of our hotel reservations well into the Summer because I truly believe we will still be dealing with this at that time.
We plan on running the Lime Rock Labor Day Festival and have an Air B&B reserved for that weekend (Sept 3-7). Right now we're thinking of cancelling that too but we're also holding off at the moment and trying to remain hopeful.
