How do you keep the $190.00 wheel center caps from turning in the wheel. Even after a short easy 10 mile drive I have to remove a couple of them to re-align the crest with the valve stems. I'm considering wrapping the prongs with a couple wraps of electrical tape to make them fit tighter.

Ah, wondered why mine had moved to . . .

Your tape could be the answer, let us know, with pics of course :)

If you look at your window sticker WHEEL CENTER CAPS WITH COLORED PORSCHE CREST now cost $190.00 and were $185.00 on my base 2017 718 Cayman. It will be a couple weeks before I drive it again, but I'll try the tape & report.

There was a guy on ebay selling them for £2.99 for 4 but he was shut down after a few days. I bought a set and they look genuine (in the right boxes too) but they don't turn - quite a tight fit in fact. I suppose they're almost certainly Chinese copies.

Something to ponder. If the "genuine" Porsche OEM versions cost an unlikely 10x as much to produce over the fake versions, think of the profit margin Porsche charges. Just a thought.

I think that's absolutely disgusting. Take the car back for repairs or a refund.:rolleyes:

My $12 (shipped) set from China are such a tight fit I had to put some silicone on them to install.

How can you tell if a set of caps are fake or real? My car came with an extra set of dark gray caps with the colored logo. They say 'Made in Italy' on the back and look authentic. I want to sell them but not if they are fakes. Thanks.

I wraped black electrical tape around the prongs. 1 wrap around 360 degrees and folded the width over on itself. The caps have not moved in normal driving. I don't know if the tape will hold for the heat generated in a DE.
