Every time, without exception, I start my new 2019 Boxster the A/C starts up with a 68 degree setpoint in auto mode with the fan running. The A/C system is almost always turned off when I shut the car down because it is a convertible and this time of year the top is almost always down with the A/C off. I want the A/C system to be in exactly the same configuration when I start the car as it was the last time I turned the car off. There is no obvious setting for this. From the Multi Function Display (to the right of the tach) I selected "Vehicle" > "Settings" > "Locking"> "Comfort Entry". In spite of the dealer telling me there is also an "Auto Memory" option in this menu, there is not. Google searches also turn up multiple articles stating there is an "Auto Memory" option in this menu so it appears it either does not exist anymore or it is in some arcane sub menu that inspite of my best efforts, I cannot find. This makes no sense because it is not reasonable for it to be necessary to manually set the door key memory buttons every time I change the A/C configuration or temp setpoint. It is my understanding the car is supposed to automatically save whatever the current settings are to the key fob when it is locked but it has kicked my ass figuring out how to make it do this.
Please, how do I set the A/C system to remember exactly the setting it was in the last time I shut down the car? It is getting very annoying to have the **** fan blasting every time I start the car.
