So I found this forum by way of Planet-9 I thought I would try a few posts to see how active things are over here.

I am currently waiting to order a 718 Spyder, other than the price (and wait) I love everything about the new car!

Congrats on your new purchase. I think in many ways the Spyder is more desirable for road/street use than the GT4 spec.

Perhaps a little too early for congrats, I am one of those with a firm order spot but AFAIK no allocations are out for North American customers quite yet, but thanks!

As for the spec, that is still in flux, and as I still have time before any such order locks I am playing with combinations, but PCCB and the LWBS are of interest! See below for delivery...

Serial Porsche buyer, hmmm I suppose so, and fortunate to be so. My first Boxster (used) was from a Chrysler dealer, so I don't think that one counts, the rest are all from the same dealer, actually the only dealer on our island, I checked out other Porsche Centers but the logistics and lack of a chance to build a relationship nixed that idea. I had the #1 position for a 981 Spyder but at the time could not fathom a manual roof, no-PASM and it missing all of the good suspension bits the 981 GT4 was getting, seemed strange to me so I bought a 2016 Boxster GTS and performed a few mods, see below. ?

So here we are 4 years later the GTS is gone and I wait to formally put in a 718 Spyder order, I was told 'soon' with an expected build in late December or early January with an expected delivery late March early April.

Absolutely amazing job on the GTS, car looks fantastic!

Thanks, it was a blast to do but it was not inexpensive as it was all OEM Porsche parts, no corners were cut, just as if it came from the factory that way, not seen but included is the GT4 rear diffuser as well.

That picture was from Parade Concours 2017 in Spokane, my car scored 179 and the winner was 179.3
