Greetings all.

I can't remember if I put an intro on here when I first ordered my base back in Jan but here's a short outline.

My name is Dan and I'm from the UK. Placed an order for my first Porsche back in Jan '20 which should have been delivered in May. Sadly due to Covid 19 things got delayed a little so now looking at an early-mid July delivery.

Originally ordered night blue metallic but changed my mind last minute so here is my spec now.

718 Cayman

PASM
Black Leather package with partial leather seats
Headlight cleaning system covers painted in Satin Black
Model designation painted Black
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Sports tailpipes
64-litre fuel tank
20-inch Carrera Classic wheels
Wheel centres with full-colour Porsche Crest
Bi-Xenon main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
Light design package
Electrically folding exterior mirrors including courtesy lighting
Automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor
ParkAssist (front and rear)
Speed limit indicator
Sports seats (2-way, electric)
GT sports steering wheel in Leather Heated multifunction steering wheel
Two-zone automatic climate control Seat heating
Smoking package
Silver grey seat belts
Porsche Crest embossed on headrests

Wanted to upgrade to an S as Porsche UK are currently offering a finance incentive but I would have been looking at an October build and a special order. decided against it as I'd have then been waiting 10 months.

Anyhow, car is currently sat at Emden waiting for a ship to blighty.

Mods I've got for when it arrives; Zunsport grills, Aluminium fuel filler cap and some key trims in white.

I'll keep you posted.

Ha ha. Just found my old post so apologies.

I'll get a Mod to remove it.
So. The car decided to take a trip to Blighty on the 27th June so hopefully it’s currently sat in the docks at Grimsby waiting to go to my OPC. I’m hoping that delivery will be the back end of next week/ week after but we’ll see how long it takes for the UK transport company to ship it.

So from what I'm told the car is sat at Grimsby docks and has been since the 28th June.

I must admit that comms have been quite poor from my OPC, only giving updates when I prompt them which, in my opinion, I shouldn't have to do.

This really is quite painful!

Well its arrived and I'll be collecting it on Saturday.

I really can't wait. Just finished the myriad of paperwork and plate retention documents needed so less to do when I collect.

I'll have it for a couple of days before it goes to the detailer for PPF and ceramic coating. The temptation to drive it will be too great but I dont want to risk any damage unless I have to.

Maybe I'll just sit in it and pretend to drive it for now. I can't wait to see the curtain twitchers come out en-mass!

Well what a day. A morning at work then off to my OPC. What can I say! Brilliant. One of the best handovers I've ever had. Car was immaculately presented in the handover bay and I'm so happy it came with PS4S' on. PASM is excellent and I'm glad I didn't add PSP. Absolutely not needed. Even got my stack of freebies which was great.

Update time.

Couple of mods done. Aluminium look fuel filler cap fitter (no issues) and my cheapo coloured key bits fitted and they look ace. Managed to get a PCGB discount on a frunk liner so its all nice and protected from my daughters horse riding boots!

Just dropped the car off at Staffordshire car care for stage 1 polish, PPF and ceramic coating to paint, alloys and calipers plus an interior clean and leather protection all using Gyeon products which I love.

Sadly she's away for 3 days but I'll post some pics up once I collect on friday.

Just a small update. Car has just done 2000 miles so it’s time to open the taps! Did the Porsche driving experience at PEC Silverstone last weekend and it was brilliant. Due to Covid restrictions the instructor is in a separate car and you’re in a chase car. Tbh I preferred that to them being sat next to you. Skid pan was very useful as it teaches you how to control the car if the back end decides it wants to go it’s own way. Fortunately we had great weather and as the centre is right next to silverstone race track, there’s an opportunity to watch some of the track day cars go round the circuit.
Well worth a visit if you get chance.
I’m hoping to get some runs done over the moors and through Wales before the weather takes a turn. Maybe the Snake Pass, Black Mountain pass and the Cat and Fiddle.

Car is now on 9448 miles. No real issues apart from a dash fizz but I’m hoping I’ve fixed that.

Crikey. It’s been 3 months since I last posted my mileage at 9448. Now in Jan the car has done 10104. Not many miles in that time but I am trying to keep it down as a new one is inbound.

Just a small update on this car.

I traded this in on the 31st March for my new CGTS 4.0 and the dealer put it on their forecourt for £10 less than I paid for it almost 2 years ago.

Such a great car and I really enjoyed my tenure with it but now its about to be picked up by a chap that is sort of local so hopefully I'll see it out and about. I wish the new keeper as much fun in it as I had.

Enjoy.
