Who all has had exhaust done? What are your thoughts so far?

Just curious who has had exhausts done so far, which system you went with, and what your thoughts are?

I have the stock base non PSE system and it's a little quiet for my liking on a weekend car. Also looking to unlock maybe a little more performance.

I have the awe touring exhaust. I really want the PSE exhaust system though, but the AWE is good. It can be a little loud sometimes. But that is more based on how I’m feeling. I do love the sound though.
Did you notice any performance changes with the AWE touring?
you know just subjective improvement or just sound?
Not really. I think the biggest bottle neck is likely the cat. I am contemplating selling my awe still and getting the PSE. But that has more to do with being a DD and my wife says it’s to loud for her.

I seriously liked the AWE touring sound--but I'm not keen on "loud", I want a subtle-to-distinct "throbbing" that builds as the revs build. Too many of the exhausts I've heard aren't for me at all. And as far as the pops and farts go--yuk.

My Moto Guzzi California 1100 has had the exhaust modified (crossover tube rather than the standard "colostomy bag") and that works great for me.

At the moment it appears that the standard exhaust will have to do, although it's a bit tame.

If anyone comes across something that might meet my preferences I'd be obliged for some guidance.:)
How much would PSE be after purchase? The stock is pretty quiet, I barely hear it.

They are on sun coast parts for 2600 with all the hardware to wire it up. Not sure how to do it or how much he dealer will charge. I may go that way eventually to control the sound.
Interesting kit....this kinda opens up options, as I didnt want to get a car without the sport exhaust. I wonder though, if it still is controlled by sport chrono, or if its really just a simple toggle on/off.
So I've read a few people casting shade on Fabspeed - is there anyone else making a lightweight turboback that is along the lines of their design?

there are a few companies doing it. AWE, Armytrix, FI.

consider waiting till you have 5-6k miles to make a decision
mine is significantly louder now

As far as I can see, AWE stil maintains the factory downpipe and midpipe assemblies, and is an axle-back type setup.

Looks like FI is a full exhaust but still maintains the "two sided" design. I don't know why you would stick with that rather than the single pipe setup that fabspeed has. Looks like you can fit large enough pipe to flow well and you're saving on weight.
I have PSE. Will aftermarket exhaust add even better sound?
I have the stock exhaust on sports tailpipes and now that I've covered 18k miles I can honestly say the car is much louder, the backfires are a lot louder and it sounds much, much better than when the car was younger. I also thought about PSE but the SA at my local dealer said the difference in noise is not worth the £2k they charge.

I didn't order PSE because I wanted to try and live without it. I usually drown out the exhaust with tunes. But I do plan on asking my local dealer what the labor would be. If I have PSE installed by a dealer I assume it keeps my warranty intact.
