Anyone else notice this? This is with the wipers off, btw.

Bump... Good question. I noticed this today. Seems kinda odd :/

I recall reading in the Good To Know manual (at least I think that's where I read it) that it is to allow cleaning of the windshield and the wiper blade. The more significant way to look at it is why they twitch back down when you are preparing to drive. That is to pull them down out of the wind flow.

Edit: I found an entry in the Good TO Know manual about it centering the blades.

The only explanation to this that i have read said it was to prevent the rubber blades sitting in the same position all the time ( some lucky people live in warm dry places ),
and this helps extend theyre useful life.
My 2010 VW GTI does this and this was the same explanation that I heard.
