Not worse, just different. I think the 718 just has to make sure that it is trying to be its own thing instead of trying to be a less expensive version of the Boxster.
agreed, I think its already off to a decent start, it will be getting its own unique powertrain for one. The body panels should be light weight, the interior simple and the styling lifted from a classic roadster. Not worse, just different. The 718 already is a rag top, the roof may even be manual from what I've read...I'd love to see a rag top. along with some new and unique color combo's for it and the car.
You've got it backwards. Alfa released the coupe first, the roadster is still a year out. Besides thats the Porsche model of doing things, as was said earlier the boxster is a perfect example...I think that they will do like Alfa Romeo did for the 4C. First release the soft top, and then release the hard top later and make it more expensive.
That would make sense as that seems like a cheaper way to go about it.The 718 already is a rag top, the roof may even be manual from what I've read...
But in other threads we are talking about how the 718 might have manual windows. If there are manual windows then I would assume that there would also be a manual roof.I also feel that a manual roof might take out the premiumness of a porsche, not sure what's best to do in this situation.
