Good day All,

It is only now that after I have confirmed my order that I start to think logically about a few things, namely will a Boxster fit in a typical UK single garage. It's a new build and currently handles my little Morgan without an issue.

The only reference I have are the measurements from Porsche's website. My door opening is 7 feet across with the full width at just over 8 feet but has slight pillars/supports on each side to hold the roof. Keeping my work bench in mind, I have 14.2 to work with with the website telling me it's 14.3.

As most OEMs put a bit of a buffer, I wonder if I'm dreaming in thinking I can get it in there. I'd get rid of the bench if needed!

Many thanks,

P

Just did a rough measurement. Outside mirror to mirror is about 6'10". Door 2/3rds open (cramped entry for my 5'10" body) comes to 8"10". Front to back 14.3. Again, not precise measurements, but close. Good luck, sounds tight.

Thank you All.

I will go out and have another look. I'm more than happy in getting rid of my work bench and cabinet. I am laughing at myself in not checking this before setting my mind on the car lol. ?

I'm due back at my OPC and will kindly ask they lend me a 718 and do a test fit, with friends keeping watch of course.

I've got backup camera selected thinking this will help but if it won't fit, that saves me a few quid which will be spent on cleaning products. :)

Right, opening is just over 7 feet and once inside it's 8'7. Length, assuming I keep the bench and cabinet is 14.6 and without I'm just over 16. I have a feeling I will be selling the cabinets soon :)

Thank you again All.

The opening is 2195 and once past the door it widens to 2650. On each has supports that come out roughly 100mm, standard brick.

Thank you.
That will fit. You will be able to open the door half way on the check strap to get out. If you need to fully open the door to get in and out then it won't work.

Pretty much the same as my garage. It works for me. I would recommend a big spaonge pad is screwed or nailed to the wall for the door to open on to.
