Its not oil just steamed up inside ill have alook funny thing is by tome the morning comes it all clears upIs that water or some other sort of oil? When I first started using my defroster last year the windshield developed a film which I took to be oil form the heater/AC core. I cleaned the inside of the glass once or twice, and all has been well. If yours is water then perhaps you have something wet inside the car.
My Cayman with automatic climate control has one button for demisting the windshield. One touch and the fan goes on high, the temperature controls become inoperative set to to"Hi", the AC comes on, the vents direct air to the windshield, the general noise level goes up with the blower speed, red lights come on all over the interior, the nuclear power inverter engages, warp drive shuts off, and the laser cannons power up. No other climate control buttons work except the rear window demister until I turn off the noise maker. It's a one-touch operation. It clear the windshield okay, but it works faster if the engine is already warm.Put the climate control on demist, adjust the temperature to your desired outcome, and then turn the air-con! This dries the air before it hits the windscreen and will clear it pronto.
None of my friends envied the (2-speed auto) Pinto wagon us kids schlepped around in high school. The console between the seats is a pretty tough barrier to overcome between the two seats.
The Pinto looked semi-cool, but the wagon...well, not so much.I liked the looks of the little Pinto....
Hi - I have the same issue (South East UK). The weird thing is that its completely random. Sometimes it happens parking up after a long drive, sometimes after a short run. I have also noticed it recently after the sun had been on the back of the car and the front had been in the shade.Hi anybody have any issues with the windows always misting up my front one seems really bad worse than any other car this is when you have parked up an hour or two later misted really bad![]()

Yes, seems really weird i wondered if this was to do with the car being mid engined temperature inside i seem to have this happen on the rear window too.Hi - I have the same issue (South East UK). I just fire her up, leave the doors open and leave the AC blower on until it's all gone.
Unfortunately I think this is normal , I have it in my cayman, the only thing I do is keep the inside of the screen completely clean, obviously only happens when cold and damp but tends to be a lot worse if the car has been sitting in the sunshine, and then turns cold .... I also just before I am going to stop blast the air con in order to dry out the air a bit more . The back windscreen fogs up more I’m convinced this is due to the engine being inside the car . I had this same issue on my Macan, it’s a pain. I remember someone saying that they put cat litter in tights , and leave this in their car, and they say it works , as basically it’s the same stuff they use in humidity trays that you put in cupboards.....Hi anybody have any issues with the windows always misting up my front one seems really bad worse than any other car this is when you have parked up an hour or two later misted really bad![]()

Thanks for the tip i noticed blasting the aircon before leaving the car does the trick far better.Unfortunately I think this is normal , I have it in my cayman, the only thing I do is keep the inside of the screen completely clean, obviously only happens when cold and damp but tends to be a lot worse if the car has been sitting in the sunshine, and then turns cold .... This is a good aircon tip, thanks for sharing. Let me try this for my vehicle. This might be a long shot but here goes.
I noticed mine was struggling to keep up with de-misting whilst driving and the same when parked up. It was then I checked my AC settings within the PCM where you habe three levels of HVAC output and mine was set to gentle and have since moved it to the normal setting. This is with Auto HVAC mind you. Once changed I noticed a considerable difference. The lowest setting couldn't keep up with the moisture inside and it built up.
