Hi guys,

My car has been in the garage, hooked up to a battery conditioner, since October 2017.

What I'm now worried about is the tyres, more specifically flat spots that may have developed.

I'm hoping to get the car out this weekend, will the flat spots definitely be there? And if so will they go after a few miles of driving?

This is the first car I've ever laid up over the winter so wasn't sure what I should've done to keep everything in tip top condition.

Thanks,
Richard.

You may have some very minor flat spots but they should run themselves out in a few miles. I'd bet you'll be OK.

This tends to happen to my racecar trailer over the Winter and I notice the tires can sometimes be "noisy" for a while.....but it works out.

To be honest, I sometimes forget to put "junk" tires on my racecar over the Winter and the first few laps (after sitting all Winter) seem to be a bit noisy......but again, it resolves itself quickly.

I would just take your car out for a gentle run and then examine them for any noticeable distortion on the sidewall. You might want to slightly overinflate your tires (+5 psi) for a while as that may help matters.
