No driver. Full tank 718 GTS
Thanks for posting. What seats, transmission and audio system do you have?

BTW, learned something new that gasoline only weights 6 pounds per gallon. I knew it was lighter than water (8.34 pounds per gallon, but didn't realize it was 30% lighter). So your full tank, assuming 16.8 gallons, is right at 100 pounds. And with an empty fuel tank, your cars weight would be 3,020 pounds. This is very close to the 100-120 pound estimated difference between the 981 Cayman S/GTS and the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 that I saw referenced somewhere. My former Cayman S had an empty tank curb weight of 2,910. I think the greater difference in Porsche's published numbers may be due to different measurement methodology from then to now.

Why P is so inconvenient in their official portal...
what's strange is that information (curb weights) is absent when I was browsing the "specifications" section (NA market site) and it was there in the past...because I've looked up different models to check information out

Curious if anyone has their car's weight. Harry's garage weighed the Boxster GTS 4.0 at 1280 kg vs Porsche quoting 1405 kg

I have weighed my car 2022 (BGTS 4.0, MJ 2022, manual transmission , standard seats, standard audio, 90%Fuel) at a public calibrated weighbridge near Berlin : 1440kg

Bumping this thread, weighed my manual CGTS 4.0 on Longacre scales. My garage is nearly flat but not quite. I did not level the scales so the individual corner weights and F/R dist are off by a small percent.

18 ways, black/chalk leather interior, premium pkg, and a nearly full tank. Also has a small amount of dynamat added in the doors when the Bose were replaced with the SCR Distribution kit (group buy). Had a flannel cover on it too (~5lbs). Finally, Apex 19" SM10RS wheels save about 30lbs vs the Carrera Sport wheels.

Total: 3173 lbs

So its pretty close to the measured weight others have posted around sub 3200 lb. Harry must have had error with the scales to show it being 300+ lbs lighter. Is it a PDK or Manual?

I have not had my CGTS 4.0 weighed, nor did I have my previous 2014 Cayman S weighed, so I don't know how they compare in actual weight. But the Porsche published curb weight for my 2014 was 2,910 pounds with manual transmission. I believe the base 981 Cayman with the 2.7 flat 6 was around 2,865. Given that all of the Porsche published curb weights I've seen for the 718 are in the 3,100-3,200 range, did the actual weight increase by 250+/- pounds from 981 to 718, or did the methodology for measuring curb weight (i.e. fluids) change? Or both?

My Porsche does provide the curb weight (which includes a full tank of gas.)
Old thread but figured I’d reply since I can verify that the My Porsche info is not car specific.

I happen to have two different Cayman GTSes in my account due to a glitch — my old 22 and my current 23. They had very different options like LWBS on the 23 and 18 ways on the 22.

The My Porsche app lists them both at the exact same weights.

No idea what Porsche does but C&D shows the 2014 Cayman S being 3025 lb and the 2022 Cayman GTS being 3185 lb both manuals

The Porsche quoted KERB weights are to the DIN standard, definitely for the 718 and I assume for the 981.

“DIN kerb weight

DIN is an abbreviation of Deutsches Institut für Normung, the German Institute for Standardisation. This is the standard kerb weight used by most manufacturers today and accounts for the weight of the car, including everything needed to operate it, plus a tank of fuel that is at least 90% full.”

That’s everything needed to operate it apart from the driver, the alternative EU spec. includes an additional 75kg to simulate a driver.
