In praise of coloured seatbelts

I know for a lot of people anything but black seatbelts is a crazy waste of money and an option to be ignored. But I wanted to make the case for them being one of the essential options to choose.

Every time I see my yellow seatbelts they make me smile. And just clipping into them before I even turn the ignition a little voice in my head is telling me this is going to be fun 🤩

So for any undecided do it. For the price I’d say they are the best pound for pound option.

I agree. I originally optioned my car with yellow belts to 'spice' it up a bit. Never received an allocation so I bought a CPO shark blue car which has chalk belts! Hate them.
Next on my list is shark blue belts but unsure whether to go for the OG Porsche ones or use Seatbelt Planet.
Anyone want to trade my chalk belts for their blue ones....??

I think blue belts will look lush. I’m told it’s easy to switch belts but TBH I struggle with a light bulb so would probably go through dealer.

Whoever ordered my car chose an entirely black interior. I worked out a deal with the dealer to swap in red ones and I love them.

I agree that the selection of belt colors don't go with every interior color. But when it ties in with the exterior color or another color element in or on the car, they look great.

I've seen people state concerns about them getting dirty for not selecting them and I really don't know where such impressions come from. I guess if you have grimy greasy hands but who hops into their Porsche after doing manual labor and not wash their hands first?

Might get dirty, but also not terribly difficult to clean if they do
Miami Blue belts are awesome. They have a metallic shimmer to them too.

I'm confident they'll be fine. And if they do need a wipe down, a spritz of interior cleaner on a microfiber will do.

Opted to go with Racing Yellow belts to pair with all the deviated stitching in our Graphite Blue interior. After 1.5 years and 10,000 miles, they still evoke an evil grin every time I pull them on.

Who knew seat belts could be fun?
