I wish we in the UK, could have more freedom to create personalized plates using any combination of the 7 characters we use.
We can buy and reuse older style plates but these tend to attract VERY silly money. I was looking at PJJ 1 and it went at auction for over £100,000!

Why in the world would PJJ 1 fetch so much money?> What is the meaning behind it?

It would be someone’s initials, with the cachet of the number 1. If Penelope Jamboree James is a rich celeb then the price gets stupid very quickly………. I don’t get it either?!?

My initials and number 1.
I do not understand why anyone would pay that amount, unless it is "because they can"....

Now we know why they are called "Vanity" plates.... I rest my case.....

I’m sure it’s not unique or original but I was happy it was available. I just reserved. 718 GTS on a specialty plate whose colors should go well with my car. I will get it in about 90 days I only got my car about 1 month ago and look forward to getting it.

So I truly have a question.
Here’s a thread where everyone is showing off their plates.
But I also see photos where people go out of their way to blur out their plates.
So what’s up? Showing vanity plates is fine, but not standard issue?
What am I missing here?
Thanks
Never understood blurring a plate on the internet that is literally exposed to thousands in public.
