Put a rubber plug in it. Or don't worry about it - you have to bleed the brakes anyway. More importantly, how are you going the set the proportioning valve so you don't totally screw up the braking with different larger calipers?

This is possible? Do you have a link? Also, anyone aware of a table that shows what the various kits do to bias? I'm new to Porsches, this stuff was readily available on M3s.

You’ll definitely need to bleed the brakes when the new calipers are added. The calipers will need the air bled from them and brake fluid introduced into the caliper. Get a Motive Pressure Bleeder and a couple bottles of MOTUL brake fluid. Make sure you get the Euro cap so it fits the Porsche.

 

It's been a few decades since I did the brakes on my 1981 Fiat Spider, but I believe I used a golf tee.

 

I did the same mod on my base cayman. I found it easier let the lines drain normally in a fluid catch. You are opening up the brake system to absorb more moisture, you should do a thorough flush of the system once you have your parts swapped over.

 

Thanks everyone for your input. I will definitely be bleeding the system, I just have to do this in short sports over a few days, so I didn't want to run my brake fluid reservoir dry and have all the fluid drip out.
I got this plug set from Amazon and it worked perfectly, pic attached.

 

Get a Motive Pressure Bleeder. You fill the bleeder with one or two quarts of fresh brake fluid, screw on the lid, attach it to your brake reservoir, pressurize the system, and bleed away. Use one quart if you're just bleeding the brakes and use two quarts if you're flushing them completely.

I only lost 40-50% of my brake fluid with all 4 calipers removed. As long as you don’t put pressure on your brake pedal it won’t run dry. I didn’t have to prime the ABS pump either. I did put a plastic bag over my lines when I was grinding the rust of the hubs and rust treated them. No fluid seeped into the bag.
