Hello 718!

I recently had a full body Stek DYNOSHIELD applied to my car. I think it looks nicely glossy, maybe a little more glossy than before it was applied. Also had the wheels ceramic coated. I’ll wash the car in a week.

Stek’s FAQ’s say “Hand wash with a “Ceramic Coating” friendly shampoo such as STEK Shampoo. Rinseless washes are also safe. Treat STEK like a “Ceramic Coating” using Ceramic Coating friendly products. Do NOT use… Detergents containing waxes, sealants or silicone.”

Meguirs Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner is what I typically use but I’m concerned that the “Conditioner” additive may be less than ideal for this “ceramic-infused” PPF and may contain some type of wax, sealant or silicone. Does anyone know if this shampoo has additives that aren’t ideal for the Dynoshield ceramic-infused topcoat?

Any recommendations for a foaming soap for ceramic cars/ceramic infused PPF? Any other recommendations for a ceramic-infused PPF topcoat.

I typically only wash my cars with shampoo when its very dirty and typically rely upon ONR most weeks. Has anyone used ONR by washing their car with it and then blow dry it? I’ve always towel dry….but just curious.

I’m up to 5,000 rpms now…can’t wait until I get to 7,800!

The Burmester remains amazing, handling wonderful and my only issue with the car so far is some condensation in the rear headlights….which I guess is “normal” (unfortunately).

Love the 14 way seats which does wonders for my bad back. With the top down, it’s been quieter than I expected….very nice.

Thanks everyone….what an amazing car.

S-Tek uses the term 'hydrophobic' - not 'ceramic' - in describing their ppf products. The shop that installed my full S-Tek Dynomatte ppf advised me to wait a year before considering adding a ceramic finish on top of the ppf.

Here's a photo of mine the day after I drove in the rain and parked in the garage. The next time I drove, the water drops blew off, leaving no spots behind that I could see. Between the droplets, the surface is completely dry to the touch.

As for cleaners, the shop said to buy any decent brand of 'wrap' cleaner, such as Chemical Guys, to touch up bird droppings, etc., between washes. And similarly, to wash with any decent brand, IF plain water isn't enough. They were pretty firm that 2-bucket hand washing is what matters most by far. For sure they said to bring my own chemicals and implements if I use a self-serve car wash bay.

i have the same Stek full PPF.
For handwash, I use Sonax shampoo compatible with it, but sadly the commercial pressure washer stations are using something i am not sure gentle enough.
After washing it at those stations , the hydrophobic effect is still good of the Stek.

The rear light condensation is sadly common, I had it in both test cars and mine has it too sometimes. Will dry out easily but will be there always.
