Stock 20" 911 Turbo wheels on my 718
I couldn't find the weight of these anywhere, so I thought I'd post for everyone's reference.
Lighter than I expected them to be.

I believe the turbo wheels are forged? They're the only ones like that.
I have those turbo wheels. I recently hit a hard-to-see pavement cut at a road repair site hard enough to put a snake-bit split in a front tire sidewall. Since the front tires were beyond their nominal 5 year life and had over 20,000 miles, I replaced them. I asked the tech to do a good inspection on all 4 wheels and the rear tires while he was at it. The wheels were fine. I was told here in the forum that the wheels being forged is probably why they were undamaged. I'm just repeating what was said here.

Thank you for posting that info. What are the rim dimensions? Sizes might be printed on the rims themselves.
I don't know if they come in different sizes. Mine are 20".

That's useful, thanks. Essentially the turbo and standard 'Carrera S' 20" wheel are the same weight, but with the Turbo wheel like the Carrera Sport wheel you get an extra 1/2 inch extra width on both axles. This is likely to provide some useful additional grip with minimal weight penalty. The downside is I suppose they are easier to kerb being more protruding and being diamond cut more involved to repair. It would be interesting to know the weight of the other wider Carrera Sport wheel which unlike the turbo is neither forged nor diamond cut.

Be careful - all of the GTS 4.0 wheels are 8.5/10.5 including the standard 718 Sport wheels (weights in Post #7) which are 10 spoke and get confused with the Carrera S wheels available for the Base, Style and S models.

Just make sure that you are discussing the correct wheels as the names can be very confusing.

The Base, S and Style editions have these 20" choices:
  • Carrera S (10 spoke), widths 8 & 10
  • Carrera Sport (5 spoke), 8.5, 10.5
  • 911 Turbo, 8.5, 10.5
The Style also has available 718 Cayman GT4 wheels, widths unspecified.

The GTS 4.0 has the following choices:
  • 718 Sport (10 Spoke), 8.5, 10.5
  • Carrera Sport (5 spoke), 8.5, 10.5
  • 911 Turbo, 8.5, 10.5
