I LOVE my Satin Platinum wheels! Everyone who has seen them agrees they are a great compliment to my GT Silver exterior. The best thing about them is that they really hide brake dust. Even after a day at the track, I can usually ignore the brake dust for a week or more before the OCD kicks in. Imho, they are actually a bit lighter in color than the online configurator shows them. The bottom picture below is what they look like at their dirtiest:

With Gentian Blue I'd definitely go with the Aurum wheels, they make an awesome combo! Black works best with the brighter colours like yellow, Shark Blue and Python Green, silver works best if you want to blend in a bit more. Horses for courses!

The best wheel color....is the one YOU like. With that said, to me, black wheels just don't look good on most cars. It's a tired look, like gold badges in the 90s or bell bottoms in the 70s. If you like dark wheels, the Satin Platinum is darker and looks great. The Titanium Gray on the Cayman T looks great to me but as dark as I would go. Silver is timeless. So since you are asking for opinions I share it. Black wheels are like black cars, they look great when brand new and only on the showroom floor. Once you get them out of the special lights and they wash out. When they get dirty or chipped or curbed look especially bad and it's just a tired look. But as I said, the best wheel is the one YOU like. Best wishes.
Our Sapphire Blue '17 BS came with black wheels....looked cool for about a month. Optioned Turbo's on our new Gentian Blue BGTS and the silver spokes will look timeless for years to come.

BTW I completely rocked several pair of bell bottoms in the 70's...especially the yellow/purple plaid pair that should have been worn on the Lonely Hearts Band cover.

Yeah I had a pair of Levi's Movin on bell bottoms too in the 80s but never did gold badges! : )

I'm about as monochromatic as you can get, we have 3 cars all BLACK! My Porsche has had all the bright lettering replaced with black, added the GT4 tail lights and Soul black exhaust tips, I love the stealthy look and Carrera Classics, with bright spokes, they set the car off nicely. Not a fan of black wheels, but our 2019 Ford Edge ST has glossy black wheels and they actually suit the car. As stated by someone else matte black wheels just look dirty.

Congratulations on your order. As others have said colour choice is very personal and only you can make that decision. Saying all that, I really love the platinum wheels, it seems to go well with most colours and really hides the copious amounts of brake dust my car creates.
Here's mine, good luck with your choice:

My GTS 4.0 is Porsche Racing Green Metallic which is basically the green analog of Gentian Blue. It's about as dark and has a similar metallic level. I love it with Satin Aurum and wouldn't get anything else. Saw a Shark Blue GTS 4.0 a couple of weeks ago that had satin aurum and it looked great on that also. The only problem is if you get Bordeaux leather. With a green car and gold wheels (mine) it looks like Christmas 365 days a year. With blue and red interior it looks like Superman. But I wanted red leather and gold wheels and a green car so I don't care. I love it.

(y) I've got a Style on order, and I have gone for the Satin Platinum as an optional extra.

I don't like black wheels at all, so they were straight out of the equation. Aurum and silver are both nice (and look the biggest), but I'm not a detailing fanatic so wanted something a bit closer to brake-dust grey for my grocery getter: View attachment 51198
Any news on when you can expect yours yet ?
I know we got allocations around the same time, and apparently mine goes into production today according to Porsche !

According to Porsche, mine was supposed to go into production on the 4th of April. That's now been bumped backwards to 9th of May, no reason given.

Satin Platinum looks the best across all colors. I am looking to get mine power coated as I feel the bright silver is too clingy for a black car.

I think silver overall is the best wheel color. It is classic and always looks good. If it gets chipped, shows the least since the underneath is also silverish. It is the easiest to touch up and it shows the wheels. I like anthracite and satin platinum. Shows damage more but still has enough color to show the wheel unlike black where it just blends in to nothing. So I will take the middle of the road anthracite because it looks a little edgier but Silver is the best color for a wheel if I had to pick one.

Thank you all for your views, i understand it is my decision, it's never wrong to ask somebody else about their positive thought or experience. I am new to porche. It will be platinum. Thanks
While I think the Satin Platinum are great looking wheels & I was going to order them for my CGTS (being built next month), I eventually went back to Silver based on talking to my dealer who said that their experience was that the satin finish was more difficult to keep clean. Just one more data point for you to consider.

I have satin platinum
Just ordered 718 Cayman Style Edition, Gentian Blue Metallic.
Comes with 20” 718 Spyder wheels painted in Black ( high gloss).
Is this good combination or should I change to other color, or maybe Matt black. Any advice please, thanks.

totally your personal choice here and what you then will be happy with.
I have the satin platinum wheels which imho goes very nice with my particular car colour.
not ever been keen on the total black Tbh.
would think that these would also suit the Gentian Blue.
again, your choice.
