My FW version was not included on the downloaded file:

The closest one was the P4172

I wonder if I should move forward with the procedure or not.

Edit:
I followed the instructions with more detail this time and found out you need to download the correct firmware version from the site mibsolution.one, I was looking for the same exact FW version but I couldn't find it so I thought my PCM wasn't supported, then reading closely I found there are supported versions that are stated on the right side of each FW:

Good find, I had to read up from various sources on this to figure out what everything means. I was lucky and my firmware was included in the main MIB download.

I was able to patch my PCM yesterday but I'm still not getting the android auto icon on the home screen, I also activated Navigation but it's not available
Did you enable the features in the GEM? I had to enable Nav with my region (NAR) for North America for mine to work. I haven't tested AA yet since I don't have a phone with functional AA. Nav is working great on my car. Haven't enabled some of the other features yet. Looks like you have to use the MIB menu for some things as I went though all the menu choices in the GEM. I need to read up more on this or join the forum.

Well at last I was able to flash M.I.B. via de SD card method. Everything went perfect, I even cleared the SVM error but neither Android Auto nor Navigation were activated even though there appear as activated on MIB.

According to M.I.B. Nabigation has been activated successfuly

However, if I click the NAV or MAP button, I get this:

Samething happens with Android Auto, it appears as active but nothing happens when I plug the USB to the phone:

Not sure what to do at this point, any help will be appreciated.

And you have CarPlay from the factory? If so the GPS antenna is preinstalled. I will take pictures of my GEM settings.

Yes, I do have Apple CarPlay from the factory but not Android Auto or Navigation
Cool, then you have what you need for Nav. Here is what I enabled.

You may of already realized it, but if not the directory path is at the top of the screen for the GEM to help figure out where to navigate to in the menu.

I show I have enabled Android Auto too, but I still don't have an icon on the home screen for it. However if I unplug my wireless controller I have been using for CarPlay my icon disappears on the home screen for it. So you may need get your phone to sync to your car before the icon shows up. Just a guess, but what I have seen with CarPlay. If I can add Android auto to my custom rom Android phone I will test it out.

This is first thing I enabled after doing the firmware update and enabling the FECs.

I don't believe I had to check this box, but noticed Nav was enabled here.

Also this in the check coding.

Nav started working for me after rebooting the PCM. It opened on the street where I live, so it was dead on accurate. I hope some of this helps. If not your firmware may be different enough it may need an extra setting or file.

I only used the main MIB download and copied to the SD card and didn't have to download extra files. I assumed I would need to download the map software separately, but haven't had to yet. My car is a US 2018 base cayman with the base audio system. My PCM firmware is MHl2_US_POG11_P4151 MU version 1097.

I haven't drove long distance and used it yet, but it knew where the closes Porsche dealer was in the city by me :) and other points of interest. Oh also after getting Nav working the Nav and Maps icon showed up on my home screen.

I have updated a couple changes suggested in the instructions posted here earlier - https://www.carpokes.com/viewtopic.php?p=2623

Unfortunately its a pita to format posts for the various forum backends so I haven't updated this thread's content yet.
Thanks @edub, I apricate your contribution! I will check out that link for further information. I have found other stuff online, but not that one.

@Eboosted Sorry I haven't been able to test AA. I need to travel for work and I use my de-googled android phone for work stuff so I wasn't able to put my phone back on a factory ROM. Will let you know when I get to test.

I was also able to get Android Auto working using the no PC method - just downloading firmware to SD card.

Question, what date is your map data?
Mine is NAR (North America Region) 2017/2018 - is there a more recent map that can be loaded?

The mibsolution.one site has a section for map data, but I don't know which one to use, or if there's one more recent than 2018 on the site.

My android auto has been working perfectly. However, plugging the phone to the USB everyone I hop into the car is a PIA.

I see there's a box called carlinkit 3.0, has anyone had good experience with it for the pcm4.0?
I am successfully using the CarlinKit3.0 after following this thread. I am running Carplay through it not AA though. Ive had it hiccup a couple of times but overall very happy with the unit.

Hello guys, I was able to activate Android Auto with a custom firmware, wasn't easy I needed help from a fellow member from the MIB telegram group, but I never got navigation working bacause there are no maps for Perú available.

Awesome you were able to perform the upgrade. I wonder if you can use maps from another model car, VW maybe? I imagine though google maps or another phone based map service is more accurate there though?
