Post pictures of your Carrara White Metallic Porsche 718 in this thread

Here are two pics that are straight out of my iPhone.Thx for the insight yes would be great if you can post them
At the dealer when comparing two color samples side by side the difference is noted even if marginally but when compared even 20 centimeters apart the difference subsides
Will be interesting to see your pics 🙏🏼
🙏🏼 Great pics to demonstrate the differenceHere are two pics that are straight out of my iPhone.
The car on the left is a 997 GTS, the owner of the car is unsure what white it is but my guess is it is Carrara White as this was the flat/non-metallic white at the time. Carrara White is actually very different to Carrara White Metallic and likely to the current White as well. To my knowledge this car has no PPF or ceramic coating.
The car on the right is a 991.2 Carrera T in Carrara White Metallic that has full PPF on the front (which dulls the paint and shifts the colour slightly) as well as a ceramic coating. The roof of the car has no PPF and while the difference is subtle, is a more accurate representation of CWM
These are the only pics I have access to right now. Not sure how helpful these are but they are interesting nonetheless. I'll post a few more pics i took with my DSLR a little later.

2500 ! Which currency ?🙏🏼 Great pics to demonstrate the difference
Now I have a dilemma 😩 if to change the color to the metallic which at the end I like more... Its another 2500 grand 😩
Dollars 😩2500 ! Which currency ?
That’s odd- metallic is £632 in the U.K.Dollars 😩
The reason is we have in my country 100 percent import tax on vehicles and the dealership here which is the only one in the country I think takes a higher percent of profitAnd the USA website shows metallic paint at $650
ouch ! Think at that price solid paint is the better option. The reason is we have in my country 100 percent import tax on vehicles and the dealership here which is the only one in the country I think takes a higher percent of profit
Yup .. unless I’ll manage to squeeze them to give it to me at costouch ! Think at that price solid paint is the better option.
Honestly, I think they are both great colours and I would be happy with either.🙏🏼 Great pics to demonstrate the difference

Well then, I guess I shouldn’t be disappointed with staying with the solid after all. since I ordered the T that comes with all the important goodies that were important to me in the first placeHonestly, I think they are both great colours and I would be happy with either.
Interestingly enough here in New Zealand all metallic colours are no cost options and the base spec usually comes with a lot of options as standard to offset the high retail prices.
To my eyes, carrera white looks more “white” to me while the non-metallic looks slightly more off white in comparison.Reactivating this discussion from a couple of months back, I took these pictures at my dealer at the end of last year and am finally getting round to posting them. Hopefully those wanting to compare the standard solid White to Carrara White Metallic will find them useful.
In both pictures White is on the left and Carrara White on the right
There are so many shades of white. Parked next to my friends cars, a Honda, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and my Macan. They were all distinctly different shades of white. I ordered my '19 Macan in Carrara White. Was hoping to actually see more metallic in the paint. For my money, the additional charge would be better spent on other options or pocketed. To my eyes, carrera white looks more “white” to me while the non-metallic looks slightly more off white in comparison.
What a great find! How do you like it so far in comparison?
Awesome! Yeah seat ventilation outweighs sport tex for me. They work better with AC on and especially if lower level airflow is selected. If you want to experience PTV, all you have to do is take a brisk 90 turn on the road. When the right situation opens up. Still building up confidence with it myself, but it can almost feel like AWD when you take a hard corner.I like having a stick, and hoping for quick muscle-memory adaptation to the clutch action. Some of my take-offs are just a bit short of graceful!
The pleasant surprise for me has been how well the LSD improves driving on bumpy urban streets. With my '17 base PDK, brisk acceleration usually came with some wheel hop and subsequent jerkiness. The LSD smooths or eliminates that. And I'm looking forward to hitting Lime Creek Rd in Austin soon, to experience PTV.
The 18-way seats are nice, with impressive adjustability. I'm missing out on the Sport Tex that folks like so much, but seat ventilation - weak as it may be - is one of my must-haves! 💨
