@MIB-Wiki - I noted the following in the readme.txt:

Code:
** 6 - Developer Menu activation
Developer Menu will be enabled - no need for VCP/VCDS or OBD11 ;)
Unit will automatically restart to save changes permanently
I'm interested in this, but did not see any way to activate anything for coding in the Dev Menu. Can you give me any direction?
Any further info on this?

I put the updated map files at the root of the SD card. When I go into the Dev Menu and select Updates, it recognizes SD1 as a valid device. But no updates can be selected for updating. Any advice?

Still haven't figured out how to load the updated maps. SWDL recognizes them but won't offer an update process, and I've found nothing in M.I.B. for this either. Again, better instructions would be useful.

The last time I updated maps was from the SD card, inserted into PCM and then use the normal user accessible menus, I will have to look for the procedure but it was very straight forward, along the lines of from the map version screen, select option and then update, it asked from where (OTA or SD) select SD and it recognized the update, asked for which maps (NAR has lots!). It took while but eventually completed.

Well, then perhaps the maps I downloaded from mibsolution.one are not correct for my car.

Well, the readme.txt still point to the menu used by the D-Link/putty method.
This is still part of M.I.B and still Supports the most basic function.
All the new stuff is only reachable by GEM.

During installation of M.I.B Developer Mode is automatically activated.
Hence, GEM can be accessed after Installation.

Have you installed the patch before?
Only if support for latest maps is added via patch and FEC you can install them.

My car is a 2020 so I am pretty sure that the file should be the same as mine as we are both in NA, the file I had (looking for it) had updates for both the US and Canada. Below is my PCM software version and map version.

As @MIB-Wiki suggests perhaps my PCM has the FEC enabled for map updates? BTW is the MU version there too, listed as 1453?

Which patch? I installed the AIO patch immediately after installing MIB support. AA is activated, and so is NAV (but still on the 2018 maps).

Here's what I see, with either the 2021 or 2022 maps. Note that while it is recognized as an update (I think), all devices have a '?' shown, and the selection and Update buttons a=re never active.

@MIB-Wiki Success! I just upgraded the NAV DB to 2022 with the file that you provided above. (y)

I loaded the extracted files onto a SD card and inserted that into the SD2, selected software version update and selected the highlighted SD2 icon and the system took over. The transfer took 30 minutes to reach 100% and then the process completed automatically. Below are a couple of screen shots, the completion and the version display. All done via the user menus.

Thanks again!

NAR is all OK.
Only Idea I have is to delete NAVDB and start fresh:

I decided that I'd give this a try, knowing that if if failed my freshly activated Nav would be broken.

So I did it, and it did break the Nav, and did not fix the issue.

After formatting, pressing the NAV or MAP button says something like No valid DB found. Totally expected.

But then attempting to install the 2022 maps linked above gives exactly the same result as before. SWDL recognizes an update in SD1, and reads the metadata just fine. But it does not offer any options to update or select items for updating.

I wonder if I should uninstall M.I.B., then reinstall and re-patch?
