Hi ReidMcT
Thanks for the reply, very much appreciated.
This makes sense, i have PCM 4.0 with NAV but i do not use the NAV i use waze, hence why i want Android Auto. I am UK based so assuming i will need the ER version?
My concern was that all the threads i find on this are all US based so potentially any AIO i receive may be the US version.
I have a drop box, pretty sure it has a 2gig limit if that is sufficient?

If no one has been able to arrange a file mirroring option i will have a chat to a good friend of mine, that sort of thing is right up his street, and may be able to help. His company deals with cloud based solutions for business.
Ah, I see. Your profile is sparse. Still, I'm uploading the AIO to your Dropbox, FWIW, since I'm not well informed on whether or not you can use it. I do see "US" in the filename :-(

Good luck! Maybe you were on the right track already in seeking patches. Hope I haven't waylaid you.

No worries, appreciate you taking the time to assist.
Apologies on the profile, new to this forum as i am UK based i am a member of UK forums.
Ken (from this forum) has reached out to me also and is going to send me the EU version.
Not sure if regeon matters with the AA function and may be more for the navigation side.
More research needed before i install!
Appreciate your help

You'll probably want to clear mine out of the way, to make room for Ken's. My upload is 12 minutes from completion now.

That is the wrong one. He needs the European version of MiB AIO. I told him I will send it to him tonight when I get home.

Reid:
Thank you for doing this. I hope the Dropbox solution is quicker than our experience with Google Drive.
I've been running in circles this week & not really keeping up here.

This phone is enabled for wireless AA in my other car and additionally the phone had a wireless connection with the Carlinkit dongle in my previous car. I just didn't have time to mess with it yesterday. I'm hopeful it'll be a fairly quick connection process. If it's not, I will try the hardwired connection.

Thank you for your help with this process. I'm hopeful that the end is near, so to say!😃
I've been busy the last few days with non-car related stuff and have been unable to do pretty much anything with this. Android Auto is working though, as well as Carplay. I did find however that my voice activation has gone missing, in addition to my maps. I'm going to just enjoy what I have for her now but will possibly do a restore prior to a full AIO reinstall.

Has anyone here tried a restore? I have the backup file but am now hoping that the restore function works properly.

@Ken_G, @ReidMcT, @Arne:
I just made the interesting discovery that my USB port in the glove box now seems to be permanently powered on. I have my Carlinkit 5.0 plugged into that port in the glove box and I just realized that my phone continually connects to Android auto. There seems to be no time out. Have any of you seen this before? I do believe it's supposed to time out in 30 minutes. Is this something programmable using the X431?

My car has factory Car Play so my car uses the usb port in the center console. I have looked for but have not found a way to change the length of time that the center console usb or the cigarette lighter plugs stay active. However, I have found that if I turn off bluetooth on my phone for 7 minutes and then turn it back on after 7 minutes, my carlinkit will no longer connect to my phone. If I don't turn off bluetooth and my phone continues to connect to my carlinkit, my phone will continue to connect to my carlinkit for 30 minutes or longer after I have left the car. Make sure that you do not open the car door because that will keep the port active. Try this and see if the glove box usb works the same way as the center console usb.

Hi all, have the EU AIO file, tried 3 different new SD’s , formatted and reformatted dozens of times as per instructions, but can’t get the PCM to do anything. I get the message SD card inserted but that’s it. Also manually selecting the update does not help “update is not compatible with this vehicle “. I’m getting desperate, anybody willing to help or share the golden tip?

I

I will send it to you.
Hi Ken, you’re kind of my last resort. Would appreciate if you can help me with a tip. Have a 2018 cayman S, pcm with gps, no usb in the center console. Have the EU AIO file. Extracted the 7zio file to 3 different new SD’s. Inserting the SD does nothing, manual selecting the update from the update menu nether (update not compatible). Am getting desperate. Thank you in advance in any case

Is the sd card formatted as fat32 and you are extracting the MiB aio files directly to the sd card? You can try a different computer to extract the files to the sd card. Also try using a different program. I used winrar and had no issue.

Hi, used different computers (Mac and Windows ) Fat32 (different block sizes), different formatting tools (Mac built in, window standard and a 3rd party tool), different capacity and brands of SD ‘s ( 16,32 and 64GB). The only doubt I have is: when extracting to the SD, all files are in a top level folder, so I move all the underlying folders to the root and remove the top level folder. Could that be the issue ?

This is what the directory structure should look like. If yours does not look like this, send me a pm with your email address and I will send you my copy of the European version of MIB AIO.

I did turn off my Bluetooth but then in order to check if the Carlinkit was still active 2 hours later I had to open the door - which of course enabled it. I will see if the cable is long enough to leave the box hanging out of the glove box or I will leave the glove box open so I can see the box through the window. My stupid question - how do I know if the Carlinkit (ie: the USB port) is on or off? If its light doesn't flash, should I presume it's off?
Thank you!

I have found that if the green or red light is still on then the carlinkit can still connect to my phone. You can also just check to see if your phone will still connect to the carlinkit. If not, then you are good.

Yes, you need to extract the contents of the zip directly to the card. You do not want the top level folder. Copying them to the root doesn't work. (I suspect there are invisible files that don't copy, or something along that line.)

There are a few folders missing (ABT) so I assume my file is the problem. Would appreciate very much to receive a link Ken
